The Montreal Victorias again became the champions of the AHAC with a record of 7-1-0.  Not only did they win the league championship by a wide margin - they also faced the Ottawa Capitals in a challenge for the Cup - their challenge against the Capitals was very one-sided.

The Capitals were the champions of the CCHA and planned on playing the Montreal Victorias in a 3-game series, however, the first game ended any plans of that when the Victorias won 15-2.
