Again, facing a challenge from the Winnipeg Victorias, the Montreal Shamrocks won the challenge 2-1 in a best of three series.

Less than a month later they faced the Halifax Crescents in another best of three challenge, this time winning 2-0, and outscoring them 21-2.

By the end of the 1900 CAHL season the Shamrocks had again retained the Cup with a record of 7-1-0.
